Sample Collection
No fasting or special dietary preparation is required. Avoid eating, drinking, smoking, or chewing gum for at least 30 minutes before buccal swab or saliva sample collection. Laboratory Analysis
A trained phlebotomist will visit your home (or you may visit a walk-in center) to collect the sample. For buccal swab collection, the phlebotomist will rub a soft swab firmly against the inside of both cheeks for approximately 60 seconds. For saliva collection, you will spit into a specialized collection tube until the liquid reaches the indicated fill line. The entire process takes approximately 5 minutes and is completely painless and non-invasive.
Report Delivery
The collected sample is immediately placed in the specialized DNA-Guard transport kit to maintain genetic integrity during transit.
